About the Last Letter:
Farewells can come unexpectedly, and you might not get a chance to say goodbye in person.
The Last Letter lets you write your heartfelt message to your loved ones ahead of time.

Your letter will be stored securely in a special Letter Box at Tegami-dera until the time comes to deliver it.

There are no restrictions on what you can write or keep in the Letter Box. You can open it anytime to update or add new letters.

Writing a Last Letter is a meaningful way to reflect on yourself and connect with those you care about.

How It Works:

Write your Last Letter to someone important.

Pack your letter, photos, or mementos in the Letter Box and send it to Tegami-dera.

Tegami-dera securely stores your Letter Box. You can update its contents anytime.

After you pass away, Tegami-dera will notify your loved ones and deliver the Letter Box. Mail delivery is also available.

To confirm your status, Tegami-dera will send a confirmation letter every three years. If no response is received, it will be assumed you have passed.

Note: The contents of the Letter Box can be updated at any time.
